A comforting thought, somehow

This is perhaps the most terrible blog post I have written. I think we should accept human extinction. We will not make it. Like a to aggressive virus we will kill our host. This is not a new thought for me and surely many have said and thought it before. What is new however, is that I just now realized I have come to terms with the fact. And it is ok. Man kind is fantastic. But simply not good enough. Next time will be better. Hopefully. Give earth a few hundred million years and it will be fully recovered. New life will flourish and perhaps it will manage better. Maybe we can help them some how? Tell them about our fate. Some of the things that went wrong and some suggestion for how they can do better.

So now, what remains is to minimize suffering for by children and other loved ones.

The Humanity Future Society

There is allot of talk about us dealing with global warming. However, that is just one of soo many issues with our current way of life. We are depleting many many key resources that we need for a high-technology society. We are killing specis after specis of key life on our planet. And we are building up a lifestyle that does not go on par with being a human.

Someone needs to start thinking about how to sustain humanity, not for 10 or 100 years, but rather how do we sustain it for thousands!?

So, I suggest founding the future of humanity society. Where we address the question of how to create a truly milenial sustainable human society.

We must stop the sustainability conferences

There are so many talking about how to integrate sustainability in all of business, but still this topic is mainly discussed on dedicated sustainability reasons. This goes against everything that is understood about sustainability. There are conferences on all topics imaginable. They should all have a sustainability track.

The most important thing of our time

Is to become sustainable in general, and to resolve the climate crisis in particular. Integrating sustainability in business is one such key action that we need to take. However, it is commonly stated that sustainable businesses are also more profitable. Implying that if you become sustainable, you will become more profitable. But to be honest, this is far from likely to be true. Looking at this in depth, I am convinced, it is rather the opposite implication that holds. If you are very profitable, you can afford to be sustainable.

With this, I am not trying to say that we should not be sustainable. Absolutely not. It is the task of our time. But it must also be allowed to cost money. Because it will.
